I make around 1200-1500 on the inland fishery and around 1700+ on the river inlet. These are my two best (now 1st and 3rd best as I took the other side of the lake as well) for fishing. If he is talking about, say, farms, the farmers will farm it and USUALLY pick it up, the only case in which this doesn't happen is in a rare bug where some other food worker working a different job picks it up for them on their way to their own job, but it shouldn't kill your town as it is only a small amount taken each time this happens. Make sure you have assigned Laborers and that they are not busy with resource collection. If your food is sitting in the field it means there are no free Laborers to pick them up. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions though guys! So I'm thinking it may have just not loaded how/where to take the food. On another note, the food literally is harvested and just sitting on the farms and in the streets.
